Rev. Michael Palmer, B.A. (A.B.U.), M.Div. (Acadia)
Until Pastor Mike submits his bio to the Website Administrator, this online version will be official . . .
Pastor Mike grew up (chronologically for sure; intellectually?~?) in a land not far from Fredericton, NB known as Nasonworth. With much assistance from parents and teachers, he graduated from Fredericton High School at the not-top of his class. From there, he ventured to southeastern New Brunswick to Atlantic Baptist University in Moncton. After 4 years of study (lol, :) , ha) a miracle culminated in his graduation. He amazed one and all by a further graduation 3 years later when he received his M.Div. from Acadia Divinity College. At some point, Sheila-of-Crapaud-Island took pity on him and they were married. She received her training as a L.P.N., which some say is something about nursing, but after meeting her husband, others have insisted it means Lots of Prayers Needed. They have 3 young lads and a lass -- Matthew, Riley, Caleb, and Ava (we're not sure how to spell Riley, Rylie, Wriley, Ryley). Pastor Mike came to Florenceville in July 2006 as our first "second pastor" in the role of Pastor of Youth and Young Families (after 5 years as the pastor of Aroostook Baptist Church, at the mouth of the mighty Aroostook River in a place called Aroostook, Victoria County, NB). In October 2010, we extended the call to have him as our lead Pastor, upon the retirement of our previous pastor. Some/many say we should have known better . . . but . . . well . . . too late! Some of Pastor Mike's favourite activities include keeping an immaculate office and desk, driving his minivan like a typical NASCAR wannabe, and regularly delivering Tim Horton's coffee to the Deacons.

Rev.
Allison Kirkbride, B.A. (A.B.U.), M.Div. (Acadia)
Until Pastor Al submits his bio to the Website Administrator, this version will be the truth(?) for now . . .
While at ADC, he met his heartthrob -- Ashley Somebody (he's never told us her maiden name, but it's presumably an Annapolis Valley moniker). She earned her B.A. from Acadia University, and then some sort of B.Ed. from St. F.X., and is now certified ... as a teacher. After being exported overseas for a missions stint, and a few years of other various and sundry ministries (including Douglas Baptist Church and Shiktehawk Bible Camp), Pastor Al came to Florenceville Baptist in the fall of 2010. His maturity-challenged nature helps him to easily establish peer-rapport with the younger demographics of the congregation and community. Pastor Al likes to spend time with his local family (and we appreciate their benevolent kindness in this matter), 4-wheeling (by bumming a family member's ATV), some video gaming, and Mac computers (but only because he struggles to say and spell "PC"). We hope he can read and stuff like that, too. |
